You are right, if you have PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome), losing weight can return your periods to normal. Also PCOS and can make it harder to lose weight. Even a small amount of weight loss can help your PCOS symptoms and you’ll feel better too. There are plenty of ways to lose weight fast but they are usually unhealthy and can’t be maintained over the long term. Small portion sizes and a healthy diet low in simple carbohydrates like sugar, white bread and pasta will help. Daily exercise is recommended too. Talk to your GP for a possible referral to a dietician and excercise physiologist.
