What is Endometriosis?
Endometriosis is a condition where the tissue that normally lines the inside of the uterus grows on the outside. This can cause fibrous scar tissue to form on the uterus as well as affecting the ovaries, fallopian tubes and the bowel. Women who experience endometriosis often experience very painful periods and can also have issues with their fertility. Other common symptoms of endometriosis include: pelvic pain, pain in the lower back and thighs, nausea and lethargy. If you think you have symptoms that may indicate Endometriosis, you should swing past your doctor for a chat.
